What should be on the engagement table?
Icons?
- Anything specific?
- What is its religious/ceromonial meaning?
- How should it be displayed?
Rings?
- Do the rings have to be “new” (meaning that the to be bride can not wear her engagement ring until it is actually blessed?)
- Should they be in a box?
Silver Platter?
Sugar Almonds?
- How many?
- Do the almonds have the same sybmolic meaning as the wedding bonbonerie (health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life)?
Flowers?
- Are they just for decoration?
Rose Petals?
- What colour?
- What do they represent?
The cake?
- Do you cut the cake at the same time as the blessing of the rings?
- Does the cake stay out from the begining of the night?
Champers?
What else should be on the tables?

Always on the table must be an icon & the rings… an incense burner is optional but a lot of Cypriots use it.
