There are a number of ways to walk down the Asile:
- The bride alone
- The father of the bride with the bride
- The mother and father of the bride with the bride
- The bride and groom together
I was looking through some pictures from my cousins weddings and two of them have walked down the asile with their grooms. I might mention that both grooms were born overseas and not in Australia.
Grooms in Greece wait at the front of the Church for the bride to arrive and then the bride and groom walk down the asile together. Read another blog post called ‘Waiting For The Bride’.

The greek custom is for the bride to walk in with the groom. So when they enter the church, in the eyes of the public and god are being introduced as a couple. However please keep in mind that all these things are more traditions than actually church requirements.
